  • HYDROSEEDING with the TGMI AQUAMULCHER
  •
    Tailgate Mulcher

Popularly called “hydroseeders”, the method of hydroseeding, or hydromulching, is a very popular and profitable way to plant grass. Hydroseeding involves the mixture of seed, fertilizer, mulch all in one application.  It has become a proven system in sediment and erosion control the world over.

The Aqua Mulcher is designed as an easy to use machine capable of producing high quality results.  TGMI, Inc. sought to build a simple, no-frills machine that would allow the user to mix everything from basic seed and fertilizer mixtures to 100% wood and BFM (Bonded Fiber Matrix) mulch mixes used on serious erosion control projects.

The Aqua Mulcher is designed so anybody, from an inexperienced renter to a seasoned hydroseeding professional can pick up a hydroseeder and begin hydroseeding work with little experience.  Hydroseeding was developed to save time and money and the Aqua Mulcher accomplishes both with its user-friendly features.

The independently driven hydraulic paddle agitator and gear pump provide a full range of mixing speeds in forward and reverse directions, as well as variable speed pumping and spraying.  Pumping pressure is not affected by the speed of the agitator due to independent tandem hydraulic pumps.

A positive displacement rotary gear pump is crucial for pumping thick mulch slurries.  Hydroseeders typically have two styles of pumps: centrifugal or rotary gear.  They differentiate based on PSI (pounds per sq. inch) and GPM (gallons per minute).  Centrifugal pumps have lower PSI ratings but higher GPM ratings.  Rotary gear pumps, on the other hand, have a lower GPM, but a higher PSI.  Gear pumps work slower and harder, but allow you to push more material through longer lengths of hose.  Gear pumps also allow you to work with thick mulch slurries (100% wood mulch, Bonded Fiber Matrix, etc.) without pump cavitation as seen on centrifugal pumps.  TGMI, Inc. feels the rotary gear pump to be ideal for residential and commercial hydroseeding.

Fast mixing times, simple operation, quick and easy results are what you can expect with the Aqua Mulcher hydroseeder.  Available in 500, 800, & 1200 gallon sizes, the Aqua Mulcher is appropriately sized for all of your small to large job requirements.
